Overview

 

GOLD DIVISION TEAMS
  • Players are selected for teams in this division after the try-out process is completed. Players at this level must be committed to the team and the sport as they will be required to attend multiple practices per week as well as play a schedule consisting of games and/or tournaments both during the week as well as some weekends. Players selected for rep teams must be able to demonstrate a certain level of skill and an ability to be coachable as well as be willing to make sacrifices due to the commitment that is required while playing on a team at this level. SILVER DIVISION TEAMS
  • This division provides a platform where players can test the skills they have acquired at a higher level of competition while further expanding their knowledge of the game, learning more challenging concepts of the sport as well as being exposed to a higher level of coaching. 
  • One weekly practice session and one weekly game.

 

BRONZE DIVISION TEAMS
This division gives young athletes an enjoyable social setting to develop a passion and genuine excitement about basketball.
  • Players at this level further develop the starting 5 fundamental skills (dribbling, passing, shooting, rebounding, and defense) as well as the complimentary skills (jumping, catching, speed, footwork, and stamina).While the athletes apply their skills to live gameplay they must also be aware of and play by the rules of the game (boundaries, violations, fouls, etc.). 
  • One weekly session (Combined practice and game).

 

The OAKVILLE OTTERS HAVE TEAMS THAT PLAY IN THE Nucleus Youth Basketball League (NYBL) as well as other provincial leagues in ontario ! TRYOUT NOW AND GET YOUR SPOT ON A TEAM!
