Entry Level Course Description

This course is suitable for coaches and parents who have limited or basic basketball experience and who wish to coach children’s basketball. It is intended for coaches working with athletes ages 5-10. Designed for first-time coaches of athletes at this age group, this course gives coaches all the tools and basic skills for them to confidently lead as a children’s basketball coach.

  • Athletes that are at the entry level to sports and physical activity (Ages 5-10)
  • Educating you on the basics of coaching
  • Providing you the necessary skills and tools for planning an effective, safe, and fun practice.
  • Showing you how to teach basic basketball skills in a fun and inclusive way. (In-Person)

REGISTRATION AGREEMENT

Rowan’s Law

If you are a participant under 26 years of age or a parent and/or legal guardian of a participant under 18 years of age in a Nucleus Sports Group program, Rowan’s Law requires that you review Ontario’s Concussion Awareness Resources.

STEP ONE: You are required by law to review the Ontario’s Concussion Awareness Resources, which can be found at: https://www.ontario.ca/page/rowans-law-concussion-awareness-resources. Please review before proceeding with registration

Waiver:

If you are a participant under 26 years of age or a parent and/or legal guardian of a participant under 18 years of age in a Nucleus Sports Group program, Rowan’s Law requires that you review Ontario’s Concussion Awareness Resources.

Medical Information Release:

Nucleus Sports Group Corp. must be made aware of all medical conditions of participants at the time of registration for a course/program or event.

Cancellations:

Nucleus Sports Group Corp., reserves the right to cancel or alter any classes, times, costs or locations without notice as required due to low enrolment, change of policy, or availability of facilities or coaches. Full refunds will be issued for course/program/event cancellations only.

Refund Policy:

Registration is complete only when the full payment has been received. Refunds will be granted when refund/withdrawal request is made no less than 24 hours prior to the start of a course/program/event. An administrative fee of $25 will be deducted from all refunds. Refunds will not be issued when refund/withdrawal request is made on or after the start date of the course/program/event.

Missed Sessions:

Players are to attend all days/sessions for the course/program/event in which they are registered. Make-up classes, refunds and/or credits will not be provided in the event that participant misses a scheduled day/session during the course/program/event.

Photo Release and Policy:

I give permission for me (participant) or for my son/daughter (if participant is under the age of 18) to be a model for Nucleus Sports Group Corp., and I hereby assign all rights of the film/photography/videotape/sound recordings to Nucleus Sports Group Corp.. I authorize the use of the same by Nucleus Sports Group Corp. and those acting with its permission for the purpose to use, reuse, and/or broadcast and republish this photograph/videotape recording. Persons (not acting on behalf of Nucleus Sports Group Corp.) are not permitted to take photographs and/or videotape recordings of Nucleus Sports Group Corp. events and/or participants (during sessions).
