Nucleus youth Basketball league

Overview

The NYBL has divisions for all levels of play.

GOLD (“Rep/Competitive Level”)
  • Play Out of Conference- West plays East (More travel involved).
  • Players are selected for teams in this division after the try-out process is completed. Players at this level must be committed to the team and the sport as they will be required to attend multiple practices per week as well as play a schedule consisting of games and/or tournaments both during the week as well as some weekends. Players selected for rep teams must be able to demonstrate a certain level of skill and an ability to be coachable as well as be willing to make sacrifices due to the commitment that is required while playing on a team at this level.

SILVER (“Development League”)
  • Play in Conference- West within West (Travel to local cities to play other clubs).
  • This division provides a platform where players can test the skills they have acquired at a higher level of competition while further expanding their knowledge of the game, learning more challenging concepts of the sport as well as being exposed to a higher level of coaching.
  • One weekly practice session and one weekly game.

BRONZE (“House League”)
  • All games are within one city hosted at the same location weekly. Least amount of travel involved.
  • This division gives young athletes an enjoyable social setting to develop a passion and genuine excitement about basketball.
  • Players at this level further develop the starting 5 fundamental skills (dribbling, passing, shooting, rebounding, and defense) as well as the complimentary skills (jumping, catching, speed, footwork, and stamina). While the athletes apply their skills to live gameplay they must also be aware of and play by the rules of the game (boundaries, violations, fouls, etc.).
  • One weekly session (Combined practice and game).

The Nucleus Youth Basketball League gives all young players, families and friends the ultimate game-day experience!
